Berwyn's newest Lancaster Avenue storefront opened on Oct. 15 with its closing date already set. Jingle & Co., a holiday pop-up at 812 Lancaster Ave., will close on Jan. 15. The Berwyn Farmers Market on Old Lancaster Road has eight Sundays left in its weekly season, and after Dec. 20 it switches to a winter schedule.
So holiday shopping in Berwyn has a deadline this year. Both of the village's seasonal draws run on short calendars that end on known dates, and they're open at the same time only on Sunday mornings, from 10 a.m. to noon. The list of Sundays that work for both is short, and the first one is this weekend.
Jingle & Co. is the idea of Maria Delany, who owns Louella. SAVVY Main Line reported that she put the pop-up together five months after closing her Wayne boutique, and that she still runs a Louella shop in Avalon.
She explained to SAVVY Main Line why the shop runs for three months:
"Retail is tricky and unpredictable these days. I figured a pop-up operating during the holiday season made sense: It's when people are most likely to shop and rents are about a third lower for pop-ups."
That reasoning sets the pop-up's whole calendar. It runs only during the months when, by her account, people do most of their shopping, at rent about a third below a standard lease. The holiday season is the entire business plan, and the Jan. 15 close is part of the design.
The space sits in the Berwyn Primary Shops, between EMJ's Café and Surrey Consignment Shop. AroundMainLine's preview lists the same address, hours and closing date, Jan. 15, 2027.
Jingle & Co. isn't one store. SAVVY Main Line describes it as running like a farmers market, with each vendor ringing up its own sales. Delany expects most purchases to go through Venmo, so set that up before you go.
The eight women-owned businesses inside:
Hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The shop is closed Monday and Tuesday. The grand opening party is Wednesday, Nov. 4, less than three weeks after the doors opened.
Some evenings are set aside for private sip-and-shop nights that benefit nonprofits. The first, on Nov. 5, supports Main Line Meals on Wheels. Groups that want to book their own charity night can find the contact details in the SAVVY Main Line article.
The Berwyn Farmers Market is at Bronze Plaza, 511 Old Lancaster Road, next to Handel's Ice Cream. It runs Sundays from 9 a.m. to noon. Since summer, the market has given certain Sundays a theme, and those themed weeks now line up with the holidays.
The next one is this Sunday. Patch reported that Spookfest on Oct. 25 will include trick-or-treating through the market, a costume contest, games, a raffle basket and Halloween crafts led by Bright Day Studio, an art and play studio in Paoli. Laine's Gluten Free Bakery is coming back for a pop-up and will also sell pottery made by a market customer, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to charity. Organizers told Patch more details would be announced closer to the day.
Spookfest is the first stop on a run of themed Sundays: Pie Fest, then the Gratitude Market, then a Holiday Market. The market's summer and fall announcement promises holiday gifts, music and decorations at that last one. Jingle & Co.'s Sunday hours open at 10 a.m., so on any of these Sundays you can visit both before the market closes at noon.
These are the Sundays when both are open, plus the one break. Market dates come from Patch's 2026 market preview, and the tree lighting comes from Tredyffrin Township.
That's eight market Sundays from this weekend through Dec. 20. The weekend of Dec. 5 and 6 brings the most together at once: a township tree lighting Saturday evening, then the market's Holiday Market and the pop-up's Sunday hours the next morning.
The market doesn't close for winter, but it slows down. The Berwyn Farmers Market's own site lists a winter season on the second and fourth Sundays from January through April, still 9 a.m. to noon. Once the year turns, a Sunday stop at the market only works on two Sundays a month, so the January calendar takes some checking.
Jingle & Co. closes completely on Jan. 15, and its vendors have plans that continue past the pop-up. SAVVY Main Line reports that Maison Flick will open a Haverford store in February. Louella still has its Avalon shop. The French Lemon has its own larger pop-up at Triple Crown Events on Oct. 27. For several of these businesses, then, 812 Lancaster Ave. is one stop for the season.
That's why the dates matter. If you want a monogrammed gift from Farpost Collective, a river table from Just Ducky or an evening of mahjong at Strid Table, you have until Jan. 15 to get it in Berwyn. If you want to pair pie with holiday shopping, there are a set number of Sunday mornings left to do it.
